- Have you tried WinVn 0.90.5? It is much better than 0.80.. I used
- Trumpet previously but decided against the fee, and switched to
- WinVn. I am satisfied with it, but it is different from Trumpet.

-
- As Internet grows and grows and grows.... We will run out of class 3
- addresses. I.e: A service provider only has 255 ip adresses available. I.e:
- Maximum of 255 SLIP/PPP accounts (Get'em quick while supplies last!)
-
- Using that protocol means that you would be using the hosts' TCP address. The
- bad thing is that you won't be able to run any STANDARD Internet service from
- your machine.
-
- Also, if you want to provide some Service from YOUR machine, you'll have to
- make that port number > 10000 AND make sure nobody else already has a service
- running on that port. (You'd get a Port Busy error)
-
- That approach has many limitations BUT it's the way we'll evenually HAVE to
- adopt.
-
- Therefore, YES, I am interested in a "Socket Call Pipe via Serial Line"
-
- Let's call it WindPipe.

- I am using Trumpet Winsock on a Banyan system quite successfully. There are
